Pink OTC Markets recently launched a new OTC marketplace to help investors easily identify SEC reporting and bank/insurance reporting companies that trade OTC. This new market is called OTCQB, which stands for "OTC Quote Board."
As part of the launch of OTCQB, they sent out a letter and fact sheet (links below) to all SEC and bank/insurance reporting companies with securities that trade OTC.

Pink OTC Markets now segments all OTC securities into three distinct marketplaces:
-
OTCQX® – The Quality Controlled marketplace. OTCQX companies must meet quantitative and qualitative listing standards as well and make current audited financial information available to investors. OTCQX is for the highest quality companies on the OTC.
-
OTCQB™– The marketplace for U.S. Registered and Reporting companies. OTCQB identifies companies that do not meet the high standards of the OTCQX marketplace, but that are registered and current in their reporting to the SEC or a U.S. banking or insurance regulator.
-
Pink Sheets® – The speculative trading marketplace. Companies in this marketplace are further categorized into "Current information," "Limited Information," or "No Information" as determined by their publicly available disclosure.
If you would like any more information about OTCQB, please feel free to contact their Issuer Services department at issuers@pinkotc.com or 212-896-4420.
